On 5 February, EFCC had arrested Rickey Tarfa and confiscated his mobile phones & Mercedez Benz SUV, on the allegation that he hid two suspects in his car to prevent their arrest.
Rickey is seeking a court declaration that his right to privacy was violated when his phone call log and record was accessed without his authority and made available to Sahara Reporters and other online news media without a lawful court order.
He is urging the court to order MTN and EFCC to pay him N5billion for the violation of his rights.
